How To Clean Your Heat Styling Tools

Truth or dare time…When was the last time you cleaned your styling tools? Uh-huh.

And when was the last time you complained that your flat iron just wasn’t as effective as it used to be?

See where we’re going with this?

Even though cleaning your styling tools isn’t high on your list of things to do, looking great is, right?

Just like hair, your heat styling tools accumulate product build up. You gotta clean them!

And it’s easy-peasy to do. You can either use white vinegar and a clean pad or keep rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle handy. It’s best to clean those hardworking tools while they’re warm or lukewarm. The dirt comes off quickly and easily.

How often you clean depends on how much you use them. Rule of thumb: If styling performance takes a dip, it’s time to clean.

One more thing. Not cleaning results in old product transferring back to your hair. And you certainly don’t want that!
