Welcome to McGills hairdressing scalp clinic. We set up this clinic as we are passionate about hair and scalp health and wanted to provide the answers to all your hair and scalp problems.

What is Trichology?

Trichology is the science of the structure, function and diseases of the human hair. Our salon manager Sarah heads up our scalp clinic after discovering a passion for trichology during lockdown and is now a ITEC certified trichologist.  

What To Expect at Your Scalp Consultation

Your healthy scalp journey will always start with an in-depth consultation. We will ask you a range of questions about your health, lifestyle, nutrition and hair care routine as well as do a full visual examination of your scalp to help assess your scalp and hair issues. Following your consultation you will receive a full examination report that will include your diagnosis and treatment plan. 

Treatments range from home care plans to courses of in salon treatments and are always tailored to your individual needs.  

What Conditions Do We Treat?

The most common conditions we treat in the clinic are: 

Hair loss and thinning: 

Androgenetic Alopecia  
Telogen Effluvium 
Alopecia Areata 

Scalp conditions and irritations: 

Seborrheic Dermatitis 
Psoriasis 
Folliculitis

Please note that our trichologist is currently on maternity leave so we are unable to book any appointments at this time.
