McGill’s Hairdressing September Newsletter.

Let The Countdown Begin…

On the 16th September 2018, we are heading to Glasgow for this year’s SHABA Awards, and man are we excited. Keep you eyes on our social stories for updates on the night’s shenanigans and, of course, the results.

If you haven’t read our previous newsletter, we are finalists in the following categories:

  • Best Salon Design
  • Best Colourist (Maya)
  • Best Apprentice (Ellie)

We Have a Winner.

A huge congratulations goes out to Susan Russel who has recommended four of her friends to come and see us in the salon in August. As a thank you, Susan will receive 30% off her next four appointments, plus a bottle of bubbly and chocolates.

Do you want to be next month’s top recommender? Simply refer your friends and family to come in and see us… It’s that easy. Remember, every time you recommend someone to us, they get 30% OFF their first appointment and you get 30% OFF your next appointment.

Scalp Clinic: Our Journey So Far.

If you didn’t read last month’s newsletter, then it will be news to you that we are working on a scalp clinic. Scalp treatment has been around for a long time, but at McGill’s we are taking things further by offering one-to-one advice on your diet and lifestyle (important factors for a healthy scalp), in-salon services and products to use at home, meaning you can feel looked after in a relaxing, non-surgical environment.

Scalp Clinic Update

Scalp treatment can be a daunting prospect, and through conversations with our loyal customers, we have learned that people don’t know where to look for help. As hair stylists, we endeavour to provide you with the best possible solution, whether it relates to your hair or your scalp.

Last week, Maya started the scalp trials for two conditions: an irritated, itchy scalp and a dry, dehydrated scalp. This process will take up to 12 weeks and we will keep you updated with the process, and you’ll be able to see for yourself how much difference an intensive scalp program can make.

If you would like any advice on your scalp, please visit this page and enter your details. Once you’ve done that, we’ll be in touch to arrange your free consultation.

Our No. 1 Bestseller

Davines’ NOU NOU shampoo and conditioner is our best-seller this month, and we aren’t surprised at all. Made for brittle, overprocessed hair, NOUNOU’s natural ingredient is tomato, and you may be wondering why. The reason is simple. Tomatos are firm and smooth on the outside, yet moist and soft on the inside, and that’s exactly what NOUNOU does to your hair.

Grab yours at £34.00 for the set.

Employee of the month is our Maya.

We would like to say a huge well done to Maya for her work within the salon. Since January she has not only taken over the training of our future stylists (who are doing tremendously, I might add), she’s also been working hard to bring our scalp clinic to life. Working on the shop floor three days a week. you are a fantastic stylist and a great asset to McGill’s. Your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed, so thank you!
